Get Started
Are you new to Pilates or the Evolution Pilates studio?
The best way to get started is with a private session. During this session you will learn how to use the apparatus correctly and any modifications that can benefit your needs specifically. Group sessions are at a solid intermediate level with students moving independently, so this session will lets us both get a feel for your needs and determine your path within the studio.

Choose Your Instruction Type
We are a Pilates teacher training studio devoted to teaching the classical Pilates method. You can choose to work with any of our certified instructors, our teacher training apprentices, or studio owner, Mo Wolfe. All of our apprentices have completed their training hours and are able to guide you through an energizing Pilates workout.
*If you are pregnant, have any acute injuries, or serious health conditions, we recommend that you book a session with one of our certified instructors.
How do I get started?
The first thing you need to do is schedule a private session with one of our instructors. During this time, our focus is on safety and ensuring that you have a positive experience.
You will be given an overview of the apparatus and movements that are done in our group sessions. And many of our clients love and continue to take private lessons, so we offer both paths as choices to advance your Pilates journey.
You will also learn how to use the apparatus, and we will evaluate your body and make any necessary modifications that might be helpful in your future as a Pilates student.
Usually after 5 to 10 sessions, most students are ready to join a group class if that is their goal. This will give you a good introduction to the apparatus and allow us to assess your strengths and weaknesses. We can teach you any modifications you may need, as students in classes are responsible for themselves.
A few private sessions will teach you basic set-up and technique, as well as get you familiar with form and alignment. This doesn’t necessarily mean that Pilates is done slowly. In fact, it is meant to be done with flow. It’s a workout. The key element is to always use control.
What should I wear to my session?
We recommend comfortable exercise clothing, such as t-shirts, sweatpants, or leggings. Shorts should be longer or biker style. The work is performed without footwear, but we require you to wear socks, and we ask that you take your shoes off upon entering the studio.

How often should I take Pilates to see results?
Three times a week is ideal. But since you are working your muscles in a non-impactful way, Pilates may be done daily. Many students feel a difference after as little as 3 or 4 sessions.
Do I need to schedule classes?
YES! All sessions and classes are by appointment only and we have a 24-hour cancellation policy. You are always welcome to stop by to see if there is room in a given class, but we may not be able to accommodate you. All visits must be pre-paid with a current series or valid credit card on account.
Am I locked into a particular day and time?
No – our class schedule is flexible. You may book standing appointments or plan as you go. Many clients like to have standing appointments due to the class size limitation. But others call or book online when they want to come in.
Will I be sore after my session?
Pilates does not fatigue the muscles to exhaustion. It leaves you energized! And while you may experience some soreness as your body changes, you will not be overly sore.
