Red, White & Blue BBQ Burger Stacks

Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb ground turkey or lean ground beef
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1  tsp smoked paprika
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • 4 thick slices tomato (red)
  • 4 slices fresh mozzarella or goat cheese (white)
  • ¼ cup blueberries or 2 tbsp blue cheese crumbles (blue)
  • 1 small red onion, sliced
  • Fresh basil leaves or arugula
  • 1  tbsp olive oil for grilling
  • Optional: balsamic glaze for a sweet-savory drizzle

Instructions
 

  • Form patties: Mix ground meat with Worcestershire, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Form into 4 equal patties.
  • Grill it up: Heat grill to medium-high. Brush patties and onion slices with olive oil. Grill burgers ~5 minutes per side or until cooked through. Grill onion slices until slightly charred.
  • Assemble the stacks: Layer grilled tomato slice, burger patty, cheese, grilled onion, and greens. Sprinkle with blueberries or blue cheese crumbles for that patriotic pop.
  • Finish with flair: Drizzle lightly with balsamic glaze if desired. Serve with a fork and knife or stack on skewers for BBQ fun.

These are just as good cold! Prep extra and enjoy leftovers in a lettuce wrap or chopped up over a salad the next day.
