A quick fix for the little black dress –

tone your arms in 20 minutes!


  • 15 push-ups – after 15 traditional push ups, change your hand position and do 15 more!
  • 15 tricep dips – use a stationary chair as a makeshift workout bench 
  • 15 isometric contractions – press your palms together in front of you, hold for 10 seconds, release & REPEAT 
  • 15 bicep lifts – reach under a desk or table, palms against the underside, pretend you are lifting it off the floor &  hold for 10 counts 
  • 15 MORE push ups

Tips for Surviving the Holidays…

One of the biggest challenges is facing the holiday season without being swept up in the holiday food frenzy. From mid November to January, it seems that discussions of food abound, people everywhere are pushing tempting treats, and more food ends up on your plate at parties and dinners. What can you do survive the season without completely undoing all of your hard work? Try some of these tips, from Nutritionist Michelle Kowalski of NutriHealth, and you will be able to face the scale in January. 

  1. Don’t Get Caught Hungry – plan your meals for the day accordingly so you don’t arrive at a party starved.
  2. Keep Healthy Snacks Handy – pack your own snacks so that you are less likely to indulge in the unhealthy treats that are passed around the office.
  3. Find Reasonable Substitutes
  4. B.Y.O. – Bring a dish to share with everyone
  5. Don’t Completely Deprive Yourself – think MODERATION
  6. Find a Food-Free-Zone
  7. Schedule More Exercise During the Holiday Season
